Wednesday Giggles

retroactively speaking

This is what has made me laugh the hardest this week so I'm posting it as last week's installment.

Buster is my favorite and always will be. The first time I saw this tiny little quip I laughed so hard I had to pause it and it never ceases to kill me.

Wednesday Giggles

"It's 2am! Still time to make one more bad decision!"

That's kind of the story of my love life.

Wednesday Giggles

My cousin pointed me at this earlier this week. I laugh harder every time I see it.

Wednesday Giggles

Warning:
There is a faint possibility that this will offend some of you.

However, for me, having gone through the emotional meat grinder that was Prop 8 firsthand;
- Having walked neighborhoods every weekend from August to November polling the issue
- Having walked in Yes on 8 rallies
- Having made more calls than I think I can remember
- Understanding that both sides are speaking two different languages, one is Civil Rights, the other Morality so there is little possibility that one can effectively communicate with the other and knowing this fact breaks my heart a bit
- Having made my Prop 8 stance as crystal clear as I can make it
- Being horrified and damaged by the abject and brutal discrimination and harassment that has been going on from the "Tolerant Community" towards my faith since the election
- and I am still actively supporting the voter's decision passing Prop 8

That being said - I find this hysterical.

Ladies and Gentleman - I give you Prop 8 - THE MUSICAL!

It's been a ridiculous week for me so here are some ridiculous (and hilarious) moments that you can watch a 100 times and still laugh

I saw this for the first time at Christian's in DC this last weekend and I must have horse laughed for 2 minutes straight at this bit.

The Muppets really do make life worth living.

"MODULATE!"

And I'm fairly sure this skit inspired the army of programmers and designers who gave us the glorious mental refuge that is Yeti Sports. Orca slap rocks my socks.

"Aloha!!"

Happy Wednesday ALL!

Wednesday Giggles

So its been a whirlwind of a couple of weeks

the Lakers are in the NBA finals
I devoured the Twilight Series and fell in love with it
I've had a heart crack (not a heart break)
and a # of other things that I'll get to all in good time

But for Wednesday Giggle I'll share what has just tickled me more than once this week.

The favorite of my varied podcasts is one from Comedy Central called Best Week Ever. It's a show they put on once a week but everyday they have "Best Day Ever" which is a select group of tre funny comedians and their commentary on TV viewing that day (or week if you will).

It's like watching TV with your funny friends. I love it. Here is their take on the MTV Movie awards.

"and it's not Values"

and don't forget the dance moves -
Oh man - I love these people

Wednesday Giggles

So Mom and I were wrapping it up after Masterpiece Theater on Sunday, getting ready to turn off the TV, and the preview for America at a Crossroads came on and it was all about Arab-Americans that were breaking down stereotypes one joke at a time through Stand Up Comedy

And we all know how I feel about Stand Up Comedy...

So we stayed tuned and I laughed and laughed and laughed. Here is just a sampling of who was involved - I'll probably highlight each one in the future because they're all so freaking funny. So I got to laugh and feel educated.

Wednesday Giggles

So I've been away for a while and busy busy busy and super tired. I've been to DC and back and a few other places and back but I haven't forgotten about my very necessary Wednesday giggles.

My buddy at work saw this guy last week a the Improv and he brought down the house. I really wish I was there.

Wednesday Giggles

On Thursday.

I totally blanked it - I've had a bit of a broody week (read: I've been a bit broody this week).

Sorry....

This was a bit of a bright spot for me though -

Wednesday Giggles

This kind of cracked me up this week (not that endorse the consumption of stuff that can't legally be called "food" because it doesn't meet the minimum nutritional requirements),

my inner-grunge youth enjoyed particular hysterics with this week's Ask A Ninja,

and I lost a few brain cells laughing at my Best Week Ever podcast and their take on Tom Cruise's birthday party footage (Act1 2:55) and Chris Matthews' antics on Ellen (Act 3 1:29).

All in all it was a pretty hilarious week.

Wednesday Giggles

Sorry I forgot to hit publish yesterday.

I've been saving these. They're called Garfield Minus Garfield. It's just John finally getting his moment in the spotlight and I find them hysterical.

We truly are living through a golden age of television

Dear Zack Braff,
Will you please be my boyfriend? Pretty please? I cook, smell good, and attend yoga regularly.
Awaiting your call -
xoxo,
Liz (but you can call me Lizzie *wink*)

Wednesday Giggles

This guy and this site are crack. I'm an admitted addict. He does an improv show in LA on the weekends and I've been meaning to find it.

Enjoy
